I am Sankar.
My hometown is Sholavandan near Madurai, Tamil Nadu state, which is in the southern part of India. You can see the place while travelling to Chennai, from Madurai by train. People call as sinna thanjavur (small Tanjore), because of the green fields around the village.
There is a story about the name, one Sholan (Chola King) visited our place long back while he was going from Madurai to Tanjore, he felt very happy about the place (Uvanthaan) or just he came (Vanthaan). Slowly, it got changed from Sholan Uvanthaan to Sholavanthan.
